Review summary: The iPod touch comes of age with more storage, and a tonne of handy widgets

Pros: Standard iPod touch features such as iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store and Safari web browsing just as welcome as ever, now includes five Internet applications ; good battery performance

Cons: Video isn't as bright as iPhone, no external volume controls or support for remote control

Verdict: While the touch is the most striking iPod in Apple's range - and with its internet functions it's the most progressive too - it initially came with some disappointments.

Look But Don't Touch - iPod Touch Review

Review summary: An MP3 player based on the phenomena that is the iPhone sounds like a good idea and indeed it is. A stunning user interface and great iPod functions. Just a shame that Apple think you should pay through the nose for its new baby.

Apple iPod Touch 16GB Mp3 Player - Black: Apple iPod Touch MP3 Player

      By Eric Dahl

Review summary: The Touch is certainly an amazing piece of technology. Mobile Safari is the best portable Web browser around, Cover Flow works great on a device with limited storage capacity, and the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store is extremely slick for a first-generation ...

Pros: Includes a Web browser and Wi-Fi ; Beautiful design, easy to operate

Cons: Expensive ; Dark videos can be difficult to see

Verdict: The iPod Touch is beautifully designed and incredibly fun to use. It still suffers from some performance hiccups, but I'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a mobile video player, a portable Web browser, or a high-class way to cart around the ...

      Apple iPod touch 16GB

Review summary: Is the Apple iPod touch more than just an iPhone wannabe?

Pros: Multi-touch interface is a blast ; It's the first true video iPod ; Decent sound and picture quality ; Incredibly slim and light

Cons: The iPod touch is too similar to the iPhone ; Contrast and viewing angle are average ; Not enough storage for some ; Feels like a rush job

Verdict: As is stands, the iPod touch is actually a very good audio / video player that bears an unhealthy similarity to one of the most over-hyped products of the year. Maybe the iPod touch 2.0 will be more distinctive

      Apple iPod touch 32GB

Review summary: Finally the iPod touchs empty home page has all the iPhone apps that were originally denied us.

Verdict: As an iPod it's lovely, but it's as a WiFi device that the touch really excels. Now you can browse the web with a device you can hold in your hand and fit in your pocket, provided you're in range of a WiFi hotspot, of course. The Safari web browsing ...
