      iPod Nano 16GB

      By Nick Mediati

Review summary: The latest iPod Nano combines the larger screen of the third-generation Nano with the slender design and vibrant colors of the second-generation models. Taken as a whole, the fourth-generation iPod Nano marks the further evolution of an already-strong ...

Pros: Very slim and lightweight Voice recording support

Cons: No FM tuner Must rotate unit on side to watch video

Verdict: Once again, Apple put together a great media player with the new iPod Nano. New/old shape aside, however, it is a fairly minor update with only a couple of interesting new features. But like iTunes 8, the new iPod Nano doesn't venture far into ...

      Apple iPod nano (4th gen)

      By Donald Bell

Review summary: Apple seems to release new iPod models every other day, but this newest iPod nano really does impress. At just 6mm thick, it's the thinnest one they've ever made -- but there's more to it than that. New features include the Genius playlist tool, tilt ...

Pros: Design ; Apple's new Genius playlist tool ; accessibility features for the visually impaired

Cons: The fact that you have to upgrade to Apple's iTunes 8 software ; the rounded screen invites glare ; average sound quality

Verdict: The fourth-generation iPod nano is easy on the eyes and the wallet, and you can't beat its hardware and user interface design. Look out for innovative accessibility features and the Genius playlist tool, but just be sure to give iTunes 8 a spin before ...

Review summary: Is thin and tall the answer?

Pros: Bigger screen, Genius mode, colour option

Cons: No Wi-Fi, change in shape but not in features

Verdict: From our brief play, it's hard not to like the new model if it's the iPod you've got to have

Apple iPod Nano (fourth generation, 8GB, blue) review

Pros: The fourth-generation iPod Nano is more attractive and colorful than its predecessor and includes Apple's new Genius playlist tool, a tilt sensor, and accessibility features for the visually impaired

Cons: To use the new Nano, you must upgrade to Apple's iTunes 8 software with its laundry list of hardware requirements ; the rounded screen invites glare ; sound quality is only average

Verdict: The Nano's scroll wheel is snappy and responsive, however, the controls become a little confusing after turning the iPod sideways to watch video.

Review summary: Apple's slimmed-down, slicker-than-ever iPod nano responds to your movements, creates playlists it thinks you'll like, and makes the competition look like a bunch of clunkers.
