Apple iPod Nano (2nd generation, 4GB)
Review summary: Apple's second generation iPod Nano looks and feels better than the original, and comes in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB versions.
Pros: New scratch-resistant aluminum body, Available in a variety of bright and shiny colours, Still superslender but more durable, thanks to seamless construction, Supports photos (with thumbnail grid) and album art, Great sound quality
Cons: Still doesn't play video, not that you'd want to watch it on the small screen, No built-in FM tuner or recording capability, Not all colour options are available for all memory sizes
Verdict: The second-generation Apple iPod Nano is like the successful offspring of an iPod Mini and a first-generation iPod Nano. It's small, stylish, user-friendly, and competitively priced -- a great player all around and suitable for a variety of users.

Updated mid-sized iPod finds inspiration in the past
Review summary: The 2G iPod is both a welcome step back to more colorful (and scratch-resistant) days of the iPod mini and a moderate step forward in functionality. This middle-child iPod feels and looks great with its rugged aluminum finish and bright display.
Pros: Bright screen ; solid battery life ; alphanumeric overlay browsing feature ; support for voice memos ; rugged exterior ; bright colors ; improved Center button "feel
Cons: Earbuds won't fit everyone ; text search can be tedious ; takes longer to sync than previous nano
Verdict: Though the newest iPod nanos look positively Lilliputian when placed next to an iPod mini, they're very much a restatement of the former. Available in capacities of 2, 4, and 8GB (priced at $149, $199, and $249, respectively) these iPods bear the same ...

Verdict: The 2G Nano doesn't really bring anything new to the table in the fast-advancing world of MP3 players, but the improvements over the original are certainly welcome. This player is sure to be a top choice among a wide range of users, and it's a stellar ...
