      Apple iPod Touch

      By Derek Fung

Review summary: If the Touch is the player that you want, that you really, really want, you've probably got one already. Fence-sitters should stay there until next year when third-party apps or version 2.0 comes out.

Pros: Well just look at it. It's gorgeous ; Pretty interface ; Best sounding iPod ever ; Bright, clear and crisp widescreen ; Cover Flow

Cons: Expensive and poor value ; Can't be operated blind like previous iPods ; Fingerprints everywhere, and scratches on the back ; Third-party apps locked out until Feb 2008 ; Lots of interface quirks

Verdict: Our heart is immediately drawn to the Touch's aesthetic qualities -- sleek design: check; robust feel: check; eye-popping interface: check -- yet our head says that AU$419 for an 8GB player or AU$549 for the 16GB is too much. Combine this with the ...

      Apple iPod touch 8GB

Review summary: Had the iPod touch been released a year ago it would have surely been met with near universal approval. Its arrival now - for all its shiny, lovely deliciousness - is decidedly less astonishing. The problem, you see, is the iPhone

Pros: Touch screen is superb, Best music navigation of any iPod, Wi-Fi and Safari

Cons: Low capacity, Feels like a stripped down iPhone

Verdict: A lovely device, but it feels less like a flagship iPod than an iPhone with some of the features ripped out

      Apple iPod Touch

      By Michael Fayne

Review summary: Do you really need an iPhone with the phone? We took a close look at Apple's latest iPod incarnation…

Pros: : Great looking robust and well designed, very intuitive to use, impressive battery life

Cons: : Sound quality not quite as good as it could be, no Bluetooth, no email, poor address book application, expensive for 16GB

Verdict: The first surprise is just how shockingly thin it is at 8mm. This has partly been achieved by the use of Flash memory rather than hard drive, but the trade-off is that you can only get a maximum of 16GB (there's also an 8GB version). But although ...

      Apple iPod Touch 8 Go

Review summary: Once again, Apple sets itself apart with a revolutionary concept. It's just too bad this iTouch is launched in the shadow of the iPhone, because it could have stolen the show. Finally, here is a real video walkman, practical, attractive and equipped ...
