Archos 605 WiFi 30GB
Review summary: Archos 605 WiFi 30GB is a portable video player perfect for watching movies anywhere. This PVP has an 800 x 480 resolution in a 116.84 mm top-notch touch screen. This device is WiFi ready that allows you to wirelessly download and store your favourite ...
Pros: Zut alors! With up to ten times the memory of an iPod Touch and a larger, sharper touchscreen, this French beauty is prettier than Jean-Paul Satre and brainier than Charlotte Gainsbourg. And possibly even the other way around. Video playback looks jaw ...
Cons: Merde! Build quality veers between Peugeot and Renault compared to the Cadillac class of Apple's iPod Touch – the screen isn't multi-touch, the software's buggy, the headphones are pants and even the USB cable isn't standard. There's no email client ...
Verdict: Like that gorgeous but slightly deranged French girl you met on holiday in Thailand, the 605 is tempting, infuriating and sporadically expensive. You might not be together for life but you'll never forget how good she looks.

Archos 605 Wi-Fi GPS Car Holder
By Rick Broida
Review summary: The Archos 605 WiFi is a damn fine portable media player. (It received the coveted Best of Test award last year.) Now it's slightly mo' better due to this new GPS accessory, which for $130 adds full-bore street navigation that's on par with a Garmin ...
Pros: Cheaper than a standalone GPS, at least if you already own an Archos 605. High-resolution screen makes maps look mighty purty. Lightning-fast satellite lock.
Cons: The 605 can't navigate without the car holder, so you can't go on walkabout. Doesn't say street names. Requires you to move to Europe if you want traffic features. You have to manually restart the GPS app every time you power on the 605.
