      Pros: The Cowon Q5W portable video player boasts robust video features, high-quality audio playback, and includes a Wi-Fi-enabled Internet browser, Bluetooth audio streaming, component and composite video output, MSN Messenger, and built-in speakers.

      Cons: The Cowon Q5W is heavy, expensive, awkward to navigate, difficult to configure for wireless Internet, and the optional GPS cradle costs as much as a standalone GPS device.

      Verdict: The Cowon Q5W aims to do everything a gadget-aholic may want in a portable video player. Unfortunately, its confusing dual interface and high price hold it back from greatness.

      Review summary: For the gadgeteer who wants a PMP that does it all, the Q5W looks enticing. But like a summer temp postie, does it deliver?

      Cowon Q5W

      Review summary: Dressed to kill but priced to stun, the Cowon Q5W is one portable media device to avoid.

      Pros: Sharp touch-screen display. Good-looking graphics. Excellent EQ function. Adequate audio- and video-file support.

      Cons: Unintuitive user interface. Video playback freezes. Dismal battery life. Can't charge via PC.

      Verdict: At best, the Cowon Q5W is a so-so media player hidden within a would-be PDA's awful user interface.
