Creative Zen Vision M

By Anonymous (29/03/2007)
  • Pros: pretty much everything
  • Cons: scroll button sometimes

After a lot of research I choose the Creative Zen Vision M. It was slightly cheaper than the 30gb ipod at the time.
I've had it 4 months now and am completely satisfied with it!
The only reason to get the 30gb ipod over this is if you want the ipod as a fashion statement, everything else is better (apart from maybe the scroll bar, that takes a little time to get used to).
It has fantastic battery life, although they don't provide an a/c adaptor so it is quite slow to charge from your computer (however this is the same as the ipod).
The colour screen is so much better quality than the ipod screen and navigation of the menus is really simple, especially thanks to the shortcut key that you can assign whatever you fancy to!
Installation of the software was fine and transferring music/films/photos from folders on your computer is literally drag and drop - so simple and so quick.
Also, it syncs to windows media player, and transferring music is quick and easy.
Also transferring music from CD is easily done using the software provided.
The size and weight don't bother me at all, it easily fits into my pocket!!!
The other plus point over buying an ipod is not having to use itunes which seems to mess up, plus you can pick and choose exactly what you put on, you don't have to have playlists.
All in all, it works very well, looks fine, isnt as big as you think it will be, and the easiness to put music on and screen quality are definate plus points.
The only other thing that annoys me slightly is that if you plug it into speakers, it's often quite quiet, but then that depends on the quality of speakers you have.
Buy this MP3 player, it's so much better than an ipod.
