      Pros: Exceptional value ; FM radio ; voice recorder ; photo viewer ; built-in MicroSD slot ; user-replaceable, rechargeable battery ; navigating menus is a breeze

      Cons: Menu interface is boring ; subpar screen quality ; sound quality far from impressive ; no video support or album art viewing ; proprietary USB port ; no 4GB version

      Verdict: Thanks to its exceptional value and user-friendly features, the SanDisk Sansa c250 is an acceptable choice for youngsters and first-timers -- but more sophisticated users would be better off shelling out more for a better player
