    a good mp3 player but strange shaped earphones that keep falling out of your ears come on sony sort your selves out, i emailled sony but got no reply thanks alot,mine is 20gig ,quite heavy if you want one for exercising steer clear and buy the 6 or 8 gig its a smaller unit! Read Full Review »

    Far too expensive for what you get

    I had an Archos Gemini but left it on a train in Brighton, so albeit I was very happy indeed with my lost player, I decided to go for the Sony NW-A1000 player. I regret it.

    I was fortunate enough to get the software running ok but it's a long winded procedure to get songs from your PC to the device. Its a hard drive!!! why cant we just copy and paste like on any other drive?

    • Pros: Crisp sound, light, potrable, looks ace!
    • Cons: Awful software, can`t read screen in sunlight.

    Was chuffed to bits when I got this but it was weeks bfore I had it up and running due to the truly disgarceful software(ask anyone). After ripping tracks from one cd, I have to close down and restart the program each time. Not cool! Also, although crisp, the sound ain`t loud enough. Does the job though. Read Full Review »

    I had one of these to replace another mp3 player dropped in a river, that one was 20gb. So i was amazed that this 6gb was roughly the same price As for the software (called connect), it is useless, don't take my word for it just read reviews on the web. Sony have had plenty of time to sort this out but they haven't bothered. If you can go for about £30ish extra and go for the Archos Gmini ... Read Full Review »

    Everything is okay, except the format of media files. It takes me about 1 minute to convert a 5-Mb-song (using CONNECT, the software attached to the mp3 player)Does anyone know a faster way to convert the files? Read Full Review »
