Far too expensive for what you get

Cons: Short battery life, complicated upload from PC

I had an Archos Gemini but left it on a train in Brighton, so albeit I was very happy indeed with my lost player, I decided to go for the Sony NW-A1000 player. I regret it.

I was fortunate enough to get the software running ok but it's a long winded procedure to get songs from your PC to the device. Its a hard drive!!! why cant we just copy and paste like on any other drive?

The sound quality is very good and I have managed to crack the code to increase volume level. The battery life however is unaccepably short, my Archos would live for days on end , but this one? I am lucky to get a few hours, so its not good for long train journeys I'm afraid.

I am going to be estatic about this product on monday though when I take it back to the shop and exchange it. If you want an easy use MP3 player with decent battery life and good menus. Don't buy this one its a lot of money for 6Gb anyway , but too much money for so much hard work
