Pros: The Sony NW-E000 features a stylish design with a handy built-in USB interface, and it offers some desirable features, such as an FM radio. It's also competitively priced.
Cons: Sony's requisite SonicStage software still leaves much to be desired, and the NW-E000's display is impossible to read in direct sunlight. This player's controls are also rather unintuitive.
Verdict: The Sony NW-E000 is a compact, stylish flash MP3 player that those who can tolerate SonicStage should consider, but beware the unintuitive interface.

Sony NW-E003 (1GB): longer lasting Walkman

Pros: Long battery life ; sleek looks ; rugged build ;
Cons: SonicStage software (though we felt substantially less suicidal over it than we have before) ;
Verdict: It's been a while since an MP3 (or rather, ATRAC) player impressed us this much. Sony has nailed the small-form player and delivered everything you could hope for. Aside from the typically pointless SonicStage software, this is a master stroke

Verdict: Sony has come up with a small, light and stylish player that has a superb battery life, but in 1GB form it's a fairly expensive player and the process of converting music files to ATRAC format is so tedious that it is beyond a joke.

- Pros: Good Battery, Easy to Recharge,
- Cons: Screen size and Poor visability in bright light
Very tactile and portable player, easy to use hold button which stops it turning on and wasting battery when not in use or skipping tracks when buttons are knocked in your pocket. Very easy and quick to recharge and battery lasts and doesn't discharge quickly when not in use for a while.

- Pros: battery life, fast charging, has visual display & control
- Cons: VERY poor earphones, needs SonicStage, v fiddly controls
Flimsy to the feel and controls very fiddly...it looks and feels like a cigarette lighter.
SonicStage: easy transfer of normal mp3 music files to this device- it automatically converts to ATRAC on transfer. However it had trouble initially with a very large mp3 voice-only file.
