      Pros: Long battery life, convenient size

      Cons: Missing key features, cannot drag and drop music files, requires a USB cable to charge battery and transfer songs

      Verdict: A lack of features and convenience overshadow strengths such as long battery life on this flash-based player.

      Sony NW-E405 Network Walkman (512MB)

      Pros: Fantastic battery life ; cool and unique design ; bright, easy-to-read OELD ; solid sound ; gets really loud

      Cons: No FM tuner or recording features ; inelegant software ; must use Sony's SonicStage software to get music onto the player

      Verdict: If you want a beautiful-looking device with killer battery life, consider the Sony NW-E400 series.

    What a bargain!!!!!!

    • Pros: Size, ease of use, long battery life
    • Cons: None ............ as yet

    Not having owned an mp3 player before i was rather sceptical about getting one as I had heard a large number of moans from friends, but i was sick of lugging CDs round with me everywhere I went, so took the plunge and am really glad I did!
    This model is small, light and stylish in a basic way, amazingly simple to use and the battery actually lasts longer than the 50 hours advertised.
