      Sony NWZ-S615F

Review summary: This portable player has an almost ideal profile for audio use. For this price, it's above all players in its category and represents the best quality/price ratio. The only reservation is its memory capacity.

      Sony NWZ-S616F (4GB)

      By Jasmine France

Review summary: The Sony NWZ-S610 series Walkman doesn't bring anything striking or new to the table, but that doesn't change the fact that it's a quality MP3 player with nice extras and a killer battery life. Plus, Sony got rid of SonicStage--the best news ever.

Pros: Compact design with a high-quality feel and an ample screen; user interface is intuitive; plenty of features to choose from, such as an FM radio and photo and video playback; no more awful SonicStage software; PlaysForSure device supporting ...

Cons: Doesn't offer any exceptional new technology; there are cheaper competitors that offer the same features

      Sony Walkman NWZ-S616F (4GB)

      By Ross Catanzariti

Pros: Drag and drop file transfer, user interface, sound quality, search function

Cons: Included headphones, screen a little small for video

Verdict: Sony's decision to discard their proprietary ATRAC format and clunky SonicStage software on the NWZ-S616F is a blessing. An excellent interface, good battery life and video playback make this a solid choice if you are after a compact music player.
