      Vosonic VP8360

      Review summary: The screen itself is only 320 x 240 and not widescreen

      Pros: Wide compatibility ; Decent credentials as a storage device

      Cons: Poor video playback ; Slow to load ; Music playback very basic

      Verdict: It's not a bad piece of hardware, so a firmware update could one day rescue it, but right now you're better off looking elsewhere

      Vosonic VP8360

      Review summary: Actually a member of that strange subset of devices that's designed more for viewing digital photos than anything else, the Vosonic as a result doesn't stand quite shoulder to shoulder with other video players

      Pros: Wide compatibility, Decent credentials as a storage device

      Cons: Poor video playback, Slow to load, Music playback very basic

      Review summary: The Vosonic VP8360 -- or Wolverine ESP as it's known Stateside -- is an 80GB portable media player, PVR, backup drive, 7-in-1 card reader and photo viewer. It's a belter of a portable media device and it won't break the bank

      Pros: Loads of features ; large screen ; ease of use ; great as a portable backup system

      Cons: Battery life is a little low ; navigation stick is awkward to use

      Verdict: Feature-packed, intuitive and affordable, this is ideal for travelling photographers and media enthusiasts alike
