Pros: Plenty of features for the money, Looks great, Excellent high-def quality
Cons: Poor black levels, Bass could be stronger
Verdict: The feature list also has a digital tuner, bringing with it all the standard Freeview goodies like digital text and an EPG, plus BBE, SRS, and Focus audio modes

Pros: Price, Looks, Extensive range of features, Remote control stand
Cons: Black levels, Movie sound lacks bass, Positioning of second HDMI
Verdict: Black levels could be much better, but it's great for general TV viewing and boasts loads of features considering the price

Review summary: Spotted selling online for about £750, this is one of the UK's most affordable plasmas. That's hardly a shock coming from Hitachi, a company that has made its name offering low prices and high quality
Pros: Excellent price, Good connectivity provided, Sleek and well designed
Cons: Picture noise with standard definition, Disappointing black levels, Some issues with skin tones
Verdict: Although this 42in plasma TV is big on features and small on price, average picture quality really lets the side down
