      Samsung PS50Q96HD

      Review summary: This product is good in its class but falls short of our standards for us to recommend it. Also, there is no 1080p compatibility (or even less 24Hz), which doesn't seem to be a sound investment for the future.

      Pros: - Image sharpness (a lot of detail), - Rich connectivity (triple HDMI), - Natural color rendering (we've seen better on LCDs), - Base pivots +/- 20°

      Cons: - Bright points, - Movie Plus isn't natural with a lack of fluidity, - HDMI inputs aren't 1080p or 24Hz compatible, - Buzzing of power source typical of plasma screens, - HDMI not 1080p or 24Hz compatible typical of plasma screens

    • Pros: Great picture
    • Cons: Weak sound

    This was bought for our Rugby Club so we could enjoy the World Cup on the 50" widescreen. Big screen, big sound, right? Wrong! The volume is plenty for a large domestic living room but not for a Clubhouse Bar packed with beer monsters who insist on bellowing to each other whilst trying to listen to the commentary at the same time.
