      Optoma MovieTime DV10

By David Carnoy and David Katzmaier

Pros: All-in-one home theater with built-in DVD player and speakers ; relatively compact ; fairly deep blacks ; solid video processing with 2:3 pull-down

Cons: Setting it up on a coffee table isn't as easy as it should be ; so-so color decoding ; dual menu system takes some getting used to

Verdict: Though a tad pricier than we would have liked, the Optoma MovieTime DV10 does a good job delivering an all-in-one home-theater experience.

      Optoma MovieTime DV10

      By Guy Cocker, CNET UK

Review summary: The Optoma MovieTime DV10 is a successful attempt at creating a true all-in-one home cinema especially for the budget minded.

Pros: Amazing value ; cool styling ; home-cinema-in-a-box ; good image quality

      Cons: No component-video input ; fragile disc-tray lid ; can't be ceiling-mounted

Verdict: Whether by choice or necessity, the DV10 is a weird-looking projector. From the top, it's "X"-like shape and rounded corners make it look distinctly UFO-like, and when the lid pops open, you half expect little aliens to jump out and invade your living ...
