Navman N20, a suitable SatNav even for the novice

By Anonymous (27/10/2006)
  • Pros: Alerts you of speed cameras along the route
  • Cons: No AC adaptor

Tired of printing out AA route directions, which inevitably include several unwelcome adverts, I wanted something simple and affordable. Navman N20 UK fits just right. The price is good for what it offers: very clear 3D maps, and a very clear voice information through its speaker which can be heard even with children's chatter and music in the background. Missing an exit need not bring about any panic as Navman N20 recalculates a new route under 1 minute. It also clearly outlines speed cameras along the route and gives an audible alert as you approach one, may be to within 200 yards. Nearest car parks and petrol stations are outlined. CDs for maps of Europe are included. What's more, installation is as simple as ABC, even for the novice.
It however has no AC adaptor, but it can be recharged using USB port through a PC (during synchronisation), and as well as in the car (cables provided for both). Overall it's a great buy!
