  1. A solid reliable printer, scanner, copier

    • Pros: Cheap to run, large paper tray, print cancel button, rarely jams
    • Cons: Complex menus

    I have owned this machine for 18 months and have just bought a second one for my parents-in-law. I have been through three toner cartridges (more than 10,000 pages) and it has jammed only a couple of times (both when printing a second side). It scans photographs well, with easy bundled software.     • Pros: Great value for money, high quality output.
    • Cons: Scanner can be fiddly to use at times.

    This is a great value product, and it is difficult to think anything can match it for the low price it is going for. Photocopy and print quality is what you would expect from a high profile brand such as Brother and costs are reasonable too (new toner costs about £30).
