Superb all-round enthusiast's movie camera

• Pros: Solidly made, broadcast quality footage, 12X zoom, O.I.S system
• Cons: Manual controls bogged down in menus, no headphone jack

I'll start with the drawbacks as they are few: manual controls are all contained in the on-board menu control system, and there is no headphone jack (which should be standard at this price). Having said that, Panasonic have obviously done these things to both reduce the overall size of the device and its weight (both of which are significantly less than it's predecessor, the NV-GS400).
